Engle’s work is characterized by its expressive emotional quality, powerful presence and a facile sureness of a variety of animal and
human forms and characteristics. Animal forms are those most often modeled for it is in their physical gestures that emotional states
are communicated with a natural purity and intensity.

She engaged the study of figurative art early and through sculpture continues to refine the technique of creating moods with the visual language of sculpture. Trained in advanced ceramic science studies at the University of Puget Sound and through private and independent studies, bronze is now her more frequently used medium. Her works are found as both limited editions and unique commissions in sizes
ranging from tiny miniatures to works over six feet.

Refinements in techniques, artistic and emotional effects remain the lifelong pursuit of this Southern Californian sculptor as is the
passionate and in depth research of selected subjects that takes her around the world in search of exceptional models and muses.
